The most common type of massage is Swedish massage therapy. It involves soft, long, kneading strokes, as well as light, rhythmic, tapping strokes, on topmost layers of muscles. This is also combined with movement of the joints. By relieving muscle tension, Swedish therapy can be both relaxing and energizing. And it may even help after an injury.

Deep tissue massage is best for giving attention to certain painful, stiff "trouble spots" in your body. The massage therapist uses slow, deliberate strokes that focus pressure on layers of muscles, tendons, or other tissues deep under your skin. Though less rhythmic than other types of massage, deep tissue massage may be therapeutic -- relieving chronic patterns of tension and helping with muscle injuries, such as back sprain.

Developed to help with muscle systems used for a particular sport, sports massage uses a variety of approaches to help athletes in training -- before, during, or after sports events. You might use it to promote flexibility and help prevent injuries. Or, it may help muscle strains, aiding healing after a sports injury.

Lymphatic massage, also known as 'LMD' is a type of massage that will encourage the natural drainage of the lymph through the lymphatic system which involves very soft or light pressure massage.
Massage applied to specific areas referred to as "myofascial trigger points" - painful, tense areas that are found in muscles and fascia. This type of therapy generally involves focusing extra attention to these "knots" to help break them up and release these areas to increase the blood flow and get the muscles to relax.
This type of massage is done in a specialize massage chair where the client is face down while in a sitting position.
Chair massage is ideal for public or the workplace setting as it focuses on postural muscles which typically include; the head, neck, shoulders, back, and arms and does not include disrobing or the use of lotions or oils.

I know where many people are coming from these days in this high-tech, high-stressed world of ours. I left a career where I was sitting at a desk all day long, staring at a computer screen, to pursue a field that would help people that were in the same situation as me - stressed out, sore muscles and uneducated about how to live a healthier lifestyle, thus becoming a Massage Therapist.
I bring 15+ years of therapeutic massage experience, from working in a spa setting, to over 10 years of working at a wellness center with chiropractors, physical therapists, weight loss specialists, personal trainers and fellow massage therapists, and finally co-owning my own mobile chair massage business for the last 13 years for many well-known, Fortune 500 and corporate businesses in the Twin Cities metro area as well as many Class A buildings in the downtown Minneapolis skyway system.
My goal with each client is to not only relieve the physical discomfort of their body, but to educate them on how they can improve their well-being when they are outside of our clinic. I customize each massage to fit your specific needs, which may include a combination of multiple modalities as well as active or resistive stretching.
Aside from being a massage therapists, I am also; a husband, a father, and an entrepreneur - running not only Prime One Wellness, but also a founder and co-owner of Project Wellness Chair Massage.
My interests include; hiking, biking, and especially running (a 3x full marathon finisher, over a dozen half marathons, and countless 10 mile, 10K and 5K races), so I am all too familiar with sports-related injuries. I also volunteer my passion for running to My Team Triumph-MN (runners for wheelchair-bound participants) and many other charity organized races.
If that weren't enough, I also utilize my previous career of graphic design into recreational photography, videography and social media/web designs.
